CNY DIRT pledges to help maintain un-paved roads and trails in the CNY area on a regular basis. Our trail maintenance sessions take you out into the field, equipped with tools to work on problem areas that may arise or just regular maintenance of well traveled areas. We target areas that can benefit most from our help. We will work along side other user groups on projects beneficial to all. We hope this environmental and social responsibility will bring about a spirit of cooperation among all trail users, the conservation community and governing bodies.
This is crucial to our mission. When attending one of our maintenance sessions, it's a good idea to bring water and a snack. Also. when needed, the contribution of any extra tools is greatly appreciated.
You can find the dates and locations of the trail maintenance sessions on our calendar. All Saturday sessions start at 10:00AM. For more information about trail maintenance or a session please call the Maintenance Chairman: Todd Enders at 436-5240.
As small as we are, DIRT kicks butt in trail maintenance. We've always had hard working, committed(some say they should be committed) trail maintenance Chairmen. They brought along an infectious enthusiasm that was instrumental in getting loads of work done in a short period of time by limited numbers of hands. We salute them, and next time you see one of them(Erik, Rick and Todd), please say "Thank You".
