Park Tool Basic Maintenance Class

The Park Tool School® is taught by Bike Loft's Expert Technicians. We will be working from the Park Tool School manual, providing you with information on basic mechanical skills as well as detailed instructions for repairing and maintaining wheels, bearing assemblies, braking and shifting systems, etc. This is a 6 Hour class, taught in three 2-hour sessions & the cost is $59.99 per person, plus $24.99 for the Park Manual. Advanced Skills Class

Advanced Skills Course $149.99, plus $24.99 for Park Manual

This course takes you to the next level. You bring your bike to class and work on that. We will tear down the hubs, headset, bottom bracket and clean, reassemble and adjust each one. We will touch on wheel truing, suspension, bike fit and other advanced bike concepts. The course will consist of three sessions and each session will last three hours and all tools and repair stands will be provided. The Park Repair manual will be necessary.

Wheel Building Class

Wheel Building Class
Unlock the secrets of wheel building in our 3 hour one night class. In this class you will learn how to select the appropriate spoke length, lacing pattern, and number of spokes for your specific needs. You will then lace, true, and tension your new wheel to give you miles of smooth, trouble-free riding. You will amaze your friends and confound your enemies!

Bring your own parts or get them from us. The only requirement is that you start with a NEW rim and NEW spokes.

Wheel Truing Class

Wheel Truing

This 1.5 hour one night class will teach the student the basics of wheel truing. We will discuss wheel design, the importance of spoke tension and cover radial, lateral and round adjustments. Students should plan on bringing wheels to practice upon. Truing stands and spoke wrenches will be provided.

Classes are forming now

The Basic Course consists of three 2 hour classes. We will be offering two sessions of the Basic course. The first set of 3 classes will be on Tuesday evening, beginning October 10th and concluding on October 17th and 24th. These classes run 6:00pm-8:00pm. Another session will begin on Thursday October 19th and continue Thursday October 26th and conclude on Thursday November 3rd. These classes will also run 6:00-8:00pm. Call for more information or to signup at 458-5260. We will also be offering a Ladies only version of our Basic Park Tool School course on Tuesday November 7, 14 and 21, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Advanced Park Tool School classes will be offered at two different times. These classes are 3 hours in duration and will incorporate working on your own bikes in our Technician Area. These classes are limited to 4 students per session. The first session will run Tuesdays in December, the 5th, 12th and 19th, from 6:00pm-9:00pm. The second session will be offered in February, the 7th, 14th and 21st. Times will also be 6;00pm-9:00pm.
